FOUNDED IN 2008 FIIT IS AN INDEPENDENT INSTITUTE ESTABLISH SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF BRINGING QUALITY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO THE GRASSROOT.
With the emergence of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications: originally from Groupe Spécial Mobile), the drive for internet connectivity and its uses became rapidly useful for divers purposes ranging from filing online form, exam registration, exam conducting, just to mention a few. A survey shows that a large number of secondary school uses lack the needed basic computer knowledge to cope with the challenges of online registration, result checking, computer based exam and a host of other related computer challenges. FIIT brings information technology to the grassroots level, picking its base at Ijanikin, an upcoming community in Lagos State in Nigeria, where it hope to spread its tentacles to other parts of Lagos State and Nigeria at Large.
